Welcome Fengoula Avgeri!

What a fantastic day for the Kohler Mito Lab!

We are delighted to announce the arrival of our new postdoctoral fellow, Fengoula Avgeri!

Originally from Greece, Fengoula recently completed her PhD and now joins us at Umeå University as a postdoc in the Kohler Mito Lab. She brings strong expertise in mitochondrial biology and advanced molecular approaches, which she will apply to investigate the mechanisms safeguarding mitochondrial proteostasis. Her work will contribute to uncovering fundamental principles governing the quality control of mitochondrially-encoded proteins and their impact on cellular function.

We are very much looking forward to working with Fengoula and are excited about the energy, insights, and new perspectives she will bring to our team.
